Kierstin Powers: Handmade Stoneware Bowls

18.00

We are so excited to share the work of our new featured maker, Kierstin Powers!  We have long admired Kierstin's design sense and her ability to revive influences of the past in a contemporary and original way.  Kierstin's inspiration for these Stoneware dishes comes from her discovery of antique Sicilian pottery on a trip to Italy in 2015.

As she describes, "I got lost in the countryside near the ocean, surrounded by olive and lemon trees and old farmhouses.  I came across an antique shop that sold very old pottery.  I was inspired by antique marmalade bowls and started making my own!"

Each bowl is imprinted with an elegant floral stamp from found wrought iron architectural decorative.  The work of the hand is ever present in the organic and unrefined edges, giving each bowl it's own personality.

Dishes can be used for food or jewelry.

They measure 4.5-5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall
